As per Hindu calendar, Diwali falls on Amavaasya (moonless night), the 15th day of the dark fortnight of the Hindu month of Ashwin (Aasho), which is usually the month of October or November every year. This Year, Diwali falls on Sunday, 3rd November, 2013.

Workshop – Toran + Diya Painting by Kalaa Sanskriti. This Diwali decorate your house with hand made paper torans and self painted diyas. Learn how to make torans with hand made papers (decorate it with bells, lace, gotta) & how to painting diyas and a pot with acrylic paint and decorate with mirrors and resham.

Call outcome – Each attendee will get to take home what they make (diya+pot and toran).

Class structure -  The duration of the class is 2- 2.5 hrs. In the first half you will learn how to paint diya and pot. The next half would be spent in making the torans and then finishing off the diya and pot.
