Deepika’s character Veronica is bold, irreverent and possibly confused. Her spunk is in your face and hits hard.

Deepika’s tall frame and lean structure isn’t a natural choice for Indians, used to fuller bodies. But Deepika’s popularity proves tastes are changing.
Anushka did her first itsy-bitsy act in the film Badmash Company where she appeared in what looks like hot pants with a bikini top. But her act in ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl‘ had her first full-on bikini act.
Deepika comes from Bangalore and is the elder daughter of celebrated Indian shuttler Prakash Padukone. She too played the game like her father and represented her home state Karnataka at the national level.
To the uninitiated, Anushka Sharma is a former model with armed forces background. Her dad is an army officer and she modelled in Bangalore before moving to Mumbai.
Deepika soon shifted gear to modeling as she was naturally lean and tall. She took to modeling at the advice of ace photographer Atul Kasbekar.
Anushka made a debut with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’… opposite King Khan, Shah Rukh
The role of Diana Penty in ‘Cocktail‘ was first offered to Deepika but she chose the more challenging Veronica simply to challenge herself. Also, the said role was seemingly similar to her character in Love Aaj Kal.
Anushka’s peachy white complexion gels well with Indian fetish for white skin. But to be fair with Anushka, she certainly carries off this most challenging of clothes with aplomb.
