Gone are the days when post-partum flab was impossible to knock off. Marriage and pregnancy was a sure case of a flourishing Bollywood career going for a toss.
There have been cases of actresses continuing to act despite child birth—Sharmila Tagore, Mousumee Chatterjee and Rakhi. But the damage was there to be seen. All these women couldn’t really shed their post partum flab. Not that they cared much…
But an increasing tribe of Bollywood actresses who have embraced motherhood with absolute ease have turned the old adage on its head—Karisma, Kajol, Chitrangada Singh, Tara Sharma among an increasing tribe have taken the fight with post partum flab to obsessive levels.
The result—a stunning gallery of yummy Bollywood mummies.

The only actress to have successfully challenged the dominance of Madhuri Dixit in films called it quits at the prime of her career to settle into happy matrimony. The world called hara-kiri. Kajol of course couldn’t care—she went on to have two babies—and today is mother to 9 year old girl, Nysa and 2 year old son, Yug.
Kajol has always had to struggle with weight issues. Post pregnancy she had blotted oddly. But sustained attention has seen a remarkable change.
Now, she often sports saris and Western style gown with ease.

If genes were to go by, she should have got it absolutely right. With a father like Rajesh Khanna, superstardom should have come naturally. And with mother as beautiful as Dimple Kapadia, good looks was a given.
Yet Twinkle Khanna couldn’t make a mark in the tinsel town and soon made a sensible decision and tied the knot with upcoming actor Akshay Kumar.
But Twinkle Khanna was to soon grow into a respectable interior designer designing star homes with great aplomb. With remarkable good looks and a figure to die for even after child birth, Twinkle is pretty much a regular feature in tinsel town’s Page 3 parties.

When she appeared as Shanti in the TV serial by the same name in 1994, her feisty self-willed character was quite a rebel. She re-appeared as Shah Rukh Khan’s secret admirer in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ but then she went out of oblivion.
Well, not exactly for she did appear in TV serials but her second innings began in a rather dramatic manner as a cricket TV host. Forget her cricket knowledge, what was to become the talking point were her see-through saris and hardly-there blouses.
But the lady is here to stay for though she made a rather spectacular re-invention, she did so in style. Soon she was a regular in the Bollywood swish club looking good in what she donned.
In 2011 she became a new mom and soon was back to flaunting her perfect curves.

Tara Sharma
She’s the proverbial PYT of Bollywood. She is the daughter of noted theatre and TV actor and writer of children’s book, the late Partap Sharma and has appeared in couple of Bollywood films herself.
Her most prominent role was in ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ where she plays the hero’s love interest.
She dated actor Akshay Khanna for a long time only to break up as he wasn’t prepared for marriage. She’s now married to ad film producer Roopak Saluja and is a proud mommy to two boys.
Just as trivia–she’s half Indian and half British.
But isn’t she quite a bubbly beauty?
