Kargilvijaydiwas – Remembering the Kargil War Heroes!

Today when I logged into my Twitter account; saw the #Kargilvijaydiwas topic trending! All of a sudden, I went 12 years down the memory lane and remembered about the Kargil war, the brain child of then Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Gen Pervez Musharraf and Lt Gen Mohammed Aziz, the Chief of General Staff, couldn’t help thinking about those 527 dead & 1363 wounded;  happily sacrificed their lives to give us a better tomorrow and a bright future – our SOLDIERS!

But wait a second did I say a bright future…?

A future full of scams worth crores of Rupees by people like Kalmadis, Modi, A Raja, Yeddyurappa & the list goes on & on…(Ever wondered what our dear country would be like have these scams not been there…do think!)

Congress Government is not celebrating #Kargilvijaydiwas because it considers Kargil victory to be then BJP Government’s victory not that of our Nation or brave Army! Wonder stuck!!!

No mention of #Kargilvijaydiwas in morning news or in newspapers!

So by no means a common man can come to know about such an important day of our history.

You come to know about this day only if you are actively involved on some social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook…voilla looks like its time to toss your daily newspapers friends.

Here are few tweets by the ones like us paying homage to our brave Kargil war heroes:
